Art Trek 2017

Art Trek Open Studios is now in its fifteenth year, growing from a small trail of just eleven artists at the beginning, into a large annual event which can have up to 100 artists and makers taking part. The event now covers North Devon, Torridge and South West Exmoor.
Art Trek was initiated to help rurally isolated artists connect with each other and the public, giving the artists a platform to invite visitors into their homes, studios and workplaces and to create friendly dialogues and build relationships.
In 2017, White Moose Projects CIC (a not-for-profit community interest company), took over the reigns of organising the event and are dedicated to nurturing and developing the annual Art Trek Open Studios over the coming years.
The ethos of Art Trek is to offer visitors a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where they can chat with artists and makers, perhaps over a cup of tea, potentially giving a greater knowledge of the thinking, inspirations and making processes behind the artists work.
Visitors will also be able to see sketch-books, artworks in progress, demonstrations, book for workshops and visit specially organised events, but also have the opportunity to buy or commission work directly from the artists and makers.

If you’re planning a visit to North Devon for the Art Trek Open Studios and looking for a place to stay, do check out for accommodation in the local area. Also you might want to download the North Devon Food Trail app. to see a variety places to eat in the area.
