Art Trek 2019 takes place from 13th to 29th September.

Art Trek Open Studios, now in its 16th year, has grown from a small trail of just eleven artists into an annual event with around 200 artists and makers taking part in 63 venues.

Each year new artists and makers join Art Trek joining some of our regular and more established artists - we like to encourage younger artists, perhaps just starting out in their careers (this year we have 100 young students at Petroc showing their work), alongside artists who have had long and successful careers in the UK and worldwide. Creating this mix stimulates a freshness and depth to the event.

Art Trek gives the opportunity to North Devon artists and makers, many working in rurally isolated places, to raise their profile and to showcase and potentially sell their work directly to the public.

September’s event affords visitors a rare opportunity to meet with artists in a relaxed atmosphere, chat about their work processes, see ideas in sketchbooks and works in progress, see original artworks and demonstrations, book for artist-led workshops and special events. Of course it also opens up the wonderful the potential to buy or commission unique, hand-created artworks direct from the artists.

There are many new artist venues to visit this year, keeping Art Trek fresh and exciting for our visitors.

There are many workshops and demonstrations happening atmany venues throughout Art Trek (See individual artist pages for more details) and here are the links to our SPECIAL EVENTS, everyone is welcome!
